Home of Youth for Development and Rendering Awareness (H.Y.D.R.A) is a trust created by young and energetic Under Graduate students from different colleges, with a strong ideology to increase political and social awareness amongst youth by organizing various events like Mock Parliament, Debates, Exhibitions, Symposiums, etc. It is a non-profit , non-political and secular organization which aims to spread and promote public awareness and promote social service as quality indicators for future success.. Fostering 21st century skills like public speaking , leadership qualities. creativity, collaboration, critical thinking ,problem solving and communication skills etc forms the underlying rationale of this platform.

Overview
The Topic of the webinar will be related to the Modernization of the Indian Armed Forces. Our discussion topic is addressing the overall development of the Indian Military at large. We would like to bring clarity amongst our audience regarding the same. Our panellists are from various military and paramilitary backgrounds. As with each passing decade we have witnessed the some magnificent success in some recent operations. All the success cannot be achieved without the efforts of every single entity of Indian Defence as a whole. It is a continuous and rigorous efforts of our men and uniform and leadership which makes Indian Military a world class professional military.

- Lt. Gen Gurmit Singh
Lt Gen Gurmit Singh, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM ( Retired) superannuated from Indian Army in February 2016 after nearly four decades of service. Recipient of four President’s awards for distinguished Service/ gallantry and two Chief of Army Staff commendation awards. Held prestigious appointments of Deputy Chief of Army Staff , Adjutant General and Corps commander 15 Corps (Srinagar).
He was Director Military Operations handling China operational and military strategic issues, and was also Additional DGMO. Participated in numerous Expert Group, Joint Working Group, Annual Dialogue and China Study Group meetings for over one decade. He visited China seven times for important military diplomatic and border/ LAC meetings. He led Military Delegation to China ( Beijing, Urumchi and Shanghai) in 2012.
- Major General PK Sehgal
Major General (Retd.) P K Sehgal is a veteran of the Indian Armed Forces and a leading expert in electronic warfare. He has served with the Indian Armed Forces for forty-one years and has served in the 1962, 1965, 1971, 1999 wars and has been involved in insurgency and anti-insurgency operations for close to 25 years.
- Col RSN Singh
RSN Singh is a former military intelligence officer who later served in the Research and Analysis Wing, or R&AW and author of books Asian Strategic and Military Perspective and The Military Factor in Pakistan. His latest book is The Unmaking of Nepal. - Air Marshal (Retd) L.K. Malhotra
Air Marshal Lalit Kumar Malhotra was commissioned in the Indian Air Force as a fighter pilot on 02 June 1973. He was chosen to join the fleet of the Deep Penetration Strike Aircraft , jaguar. An accomplished professional whose Service career spanned over 39 years. He recorded approximately 4000 hours of flying on a variety of fighter jets in the inventory of IAF. As a recognition to his meritorious service, he was awarded Vishist Seva Medal in January 2003 and Ati Vishist Seva Medal in January 2006 by the President of India.
- Mr. M.P.Nathanael
A retired Inspector General of Police of the Central Reserve Police Force. He joined the CRPF as a Deputy Superintendent of Police in September1972. Has served in Srinagar as DIGP (Operations) and in Jharkhand, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh as IGP (Operations). He was a Commando Instructor in the National Security Guards in the rank of Group Commander. Awarded the President’s Police Medal for Gallantry in 1974, President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service in 2009 and Police Medal for Meritorious Service in January 2000.
